Black wheels on a black car?

I was wondering if I could see some CLK's with black wheels. I currently have Loweharts in the picture below, but I'm thinking of getting some new wheels with black centers and a polished or chome lip.

So anyone that has them post up some picks for me... Thanks!

Also any reccomendations are most welcome

Cool thanks!

Most of the photo's in that thread date back to 2001 and are no longer working. I'm just interested in seeing Black cars with black wheels.

the wheel can really get lost with all that black. it would look good if you bought a wheel you really didnt care about showing off. never a big fan of the black on black. black on red, black on silver, hell yes.

I love black on black but hate the all blacked out wheel. I have black with chrome lips on one car and it looks sweet. All blacked out wheels look tuner and don't belong on a luxury car imo.

i dont think they look tuner, you just dont see the wheels. dude your W208 is nice but and it looks like you have nice wheels but your eye is not drawn to them.

The thing is, black wheels on a black car looks AWESOME...in person. pictures can't do justice b/c of sometimes the camera, but usually the screen's ability to reproduce the full shades of black. It ALWAYS does and will look better in person

I agree that the pictures do not do it justice! I am not trying to have my wheels stand out. My car is a high gloss black, my wheels are a matte black. They do not fade into the car, they actually stand out more then you would expect. The 40 bolts that hold my wheels together (along with the lugnuts) are done in bright silver. I have blacked out everything on my car. Side marker lights, rims, grill, side mirror turn lights (not shown in the picture) and even all the badges are black. It does not look tuner, it is a simple elegance that makes my car stand out more then all the flash of chrome. Of course everybody is entitled to their opinions.

I have attached a close up of the wheel.

instead of black wheels, has anyone considered a dark gunmetal or charcoal finish on a black car?

I cant seem to find any pics with this setup but I would imagine it being a good alternative to black wheels

I have SSR GT3 with a Satin finish on my wheels. They look good but sometimes I wish they were a bit darker like gunmetal, but not black.

RK-CLK55, that setup is sweet indeed. I'm a big fan of the 5-spoke wheels also.

I'm not a fan of that as it looks too much like the black spare tire that the CLKs come with.

My CLK55 had crome Lowenharts when I bought it. It looks very bling bling, but not really my style. If I was to go with a black rim it would definately have to have a polished lip. For some reason black wheels witha machine lip look kind of boring.

Anyone know of any black wheel with polished lips that would fit our cars?

Here is one I found the other day. I think these would awesome with a Mercedes center cap. http://www.wheelsdirectonline.com/sevas/cars/108.jpg
