E55 and my "Little CLK55"

E55 and my "Little CLK55"
So while i was driving to have dinner with my Girl last night,in Century city,CA
I see these nice looking E55 with custom exhausts,wheels,different badges,carbon fiber lip etc....really beautiful looking
He's in front of me,and we are driving the speed limit.
I come to the lane next to him,and his window is down,he kinda looks at me and i say:
Nice looking E55!
He just kinda goes with his finger,as if he is saying ...no,no
as if i'm 5 years old and did something wrong.
Then he floors it and takes off like Crazy.
Ok.
We come to a next light,i pull up next to him,and say:
I said that is a good looking E55!That's what i told you before also!
He then puts his head out of the window,looks at my Car and says:
What you got there?a little CLK55 AMG?What's the horsepower are you running?
At this point i'm thinking ok he's a D*** Head,for saying something like that.As if i don't know that he has a faster Car,obviously my car is fixed up and he can see it,i just wanted to give him thumbs up on a good lokking car.
He then says:
Wanna Race???
I reply:
Yeah Sure,(im being sarcastic,thinking i know what would happen)
He then says:
You gonna get killed!!The light turns green and he takes off like a bat out of hell!!(love the E55's btw,they are monsters)
So anyhow...
I'm just thinking why do people have to be *****s?
When someone pulls up to me in a nice car and gives me compliments on my Car,i really appreaciate that,because i love cars.Not just a Car,a specific Brand,but many Cars that have something special about them,or if they were nicely and tastefully fixed up/customized.
And btw,my CLK55 is pretty Big!it fits me fine and i'm 6'4 and 220 pounds!

yeah, i noticed a lot of AMG drivers think they are the sh*t because they have a high hp car. i just never expected that they will laugh at other AMGs.
bmw drivers never diss other bimmers. especially any M - even e30 M3 got a lot of love.
guy is a *****, if i were you i would have spit on his car
anyway i was at watkins glen race track earlier this week and my old and simple 2002 clk55 for some reason got a lot of respect from ppl there. they kept complimenting my car's power. a guy in a new aston martin thought my car was nice. i guess dicks w/ E55 only like high hp cars that handle like a boat.

As a former CLK owner and a W211 owner i would never do that.
Actually, the reverse happened. I was at the post office where i saw a CLK55 CAB with the driver in it. I tried to honk to get his attention so i could give him a complement. He looked back and gave me a blank look.
He came up on me once we had gotten on the road and he would never look over.
I did not want to race or be a dick. I just wanted to say "Hey! Nice AMG, ya got to love them!"
I find it so difficult to find mercedes ethusiats in my area who actually love their cars and want to talk about them.

I love my CLK55 and would never insult another driver "of any car". I give and accept a lot of thumbs up when I'm in either of my AMG's. As an E55 owner I'd like to say we all aren't A-holes and we do appreciate and admire other rides. What you experienced was un-called for and unacceptable.

If they with a dumb comment like he did to you or belittle the car you were in, I think of the first car that would blow its doors off, and say I have one and smoke the sh*t out of your E55.
Its obvious you knew his car was faster and he was a dick. o well, I would of said I have some modded SL65 or Z06/Viper/911 or something that would walk em...it aint true but his attitude doesnt deserve any respect.

definitely a punk. i usually just thank i appreciate it and move on. he bought that car only because of the straightline power and the percieved prestige. in reality he probably doesnt really know what he. he just knows it is an AMG and that it is fast. he probably just leases the car of the week. guys like him dont research, dont love the car for what it is. they only want the car because of how people will perceive them. total wannabe.

I hate people like that. Lets be honest though fellas, for every one benz enthusiast theres a ton of benz owners that dont know jack abou ttheir cars besides it being a benz or AMG. I always show love to my fellow benz enthusiasts and rarely do I get it back. I do love blowing the doors off the arrogant prics! A few weeks back I destroyed a Aston Vantage after I told him he had a SICK car and he gave me this look of disgust, like I wasn't good enough to address him. I see him from time to time at car meets and he just rolls through the lot and never stops. Every time I saw him after that, I yell out "Wanna run?"
