That might be an inaccurate quote in which is posted on Wikipedia's website. They are known to be off base a bit. I just copied and pasted what was there. I'm still trying to figure out what the real 0-60 times are for the CLK 55 AMG. I've seen 5.2, 4.9, 4.7 and now 4.2? I think 4.7 sec for a stock CLK 55 AMG might be more accurate. Does anyone know?

Well, although some would quote Wilkpedia as the Bible, but this source of information is merely postings by other individuals. I have posted on the CLK55 section myself (see here) but would never quote it as a source of ddfinitive information. By most standards, the 2001 to 2002 CLK55 AMG runs the 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds. Mind you that would be an optimal run. The W209 was rated slightly slower at 5.0 seconds (while it has 20 more HP it is heavier). The CLK63 Black is the fastest of all our CLK models, besides the DTM

Yeah the CLK 63 BS is faster...that's a no brainer but I assumed the question was; is the CLK 63 (non black series) faster? My bet is that it too is faster. As far as the W208 being faster than the W209 i doubt it....it depends on how much heavier the W209 is. So, how much heavier is the W209 compared to the W208?

Even as you and your cousin came to a stop at the end of the video, the building on the right looks just like the Symantics building on Slauson! So there's a Symantics building in New Mexico too? Well, I just found out that the W209 (04) weighs 3635 lbs. The W208 (01)weighs 3444 lbs. That's a 191 lbs. difference. So does this make the W208 faster because it's lighter? I don't think so but, it might make them relatively even par since the W209 AMG has 20 more ponies. I'm sure the mathmatician's on board could provide a more sound answer to this than me

Out of many times i have tried running the 0-60,on a 70f weather,straight piece of road,new piece of road(playa del rey)i emasured with my beltorinics meter(which is pretty acurate)the best i did was 4.6 secs. 0-60 mph.(that was before the green filters and cat back exhaust system)
Warmed up the tires nicely too before.
On another note,my worst runs were 5.6-5.8,didnt warm up the tires,bad piece of road,not straight,spinning the tires a bit.That was at night with an average temp of 65f.

BTW what the hell is the 90 freeway for, seriously?
I work in the bridge area and i can hear you from my office, something to admire, good stuff. You just remove the resonator and put a x pipe there?

Yes, that would be correct. The specs on the CLK63 (475 hp) are much better than the previous models and I believe 0 to 60 times recorded were around 4.4 and traping in the quarter mile over 112 mph. There are several cars currently posted in the 116 mph range. The Black Series posts a 4.1 0 to 60 time.

auto g37s is not that super fast , i've smoked it on my maxima , i have a 6th gen 6 speed manual , with CAI , exhaust , and intake manifold spacers , but my car is fast i smoke 350z's and g35's all day long , we had a race 335 vs my car vs g37s , 335 was 1 car ahead of me up to 125 mph from a first gear roll only after 3 gear , and auto g37 was 1 car behind me , however my friends g37s 6 speed manual with injen CAI feels very fast , didn't race it yet , can't because of the conditional license lol , but my point is that clk55 is way faster and the video is good , but shouldnt compare , but g37 is a hot car all around , maybe i'll lease it once my lease ends on the maxima

lol at people with amg's talking about 0-60 , you all know it all depends how you launch the car , you can make it from 4 -5 seconds all depends on your launch, and clk63 BS will smoke the ish out of any 63 out there

For being LA we got some nice stretches of roads. Aside from the 90 for high speed runs. Theres the culver and jefferson roads for some open drags. I abused the hell out of pershing (back of LAX). We would have someone stand on the overpass on a walkie talkie, keep a look out and winners. Westchester parkway is decent but too many little places for motorcycle cops to hide.

I have replaced the muffler with two remus cans,from catback.
Hard to explain,do a search on my exhaust.I can also show you in person if you like to see it.
