scrapping sound when making left turn

everytime i make a left turn i hear a scrapping sound - almost like the brake dust shield is touching the brake disc. after pulling the wheel off and examining the wheel assembly i am not able to determine what's causing the sound.
my bmw used to do the same thing and it is really annoying.
anyone have experience with this and know what's causing the noise?

i posted a couple of weeks back about my right rear emergency brake coming loose and rubbing on the hub. a spring came loose that holds the assembly together. it was a constant noise though.

its only when i make a left hand turn and sounds like its coming from the front passenger side.

i might have to make a trip to the dealership...

i have the same problem. took it in for service and they adjusted the clearance between the brake and the hub. it helped but not 100%. i'm taking it back next week to see if they can adjust it better.

it only happens when making left turns and is coming from the front passenger tire area.

Does it happen in reverse too? I wonder if part of your plastic fender shield/guard is loose, something like that happened to me and it rubbed even when I had my stock wheels on.

3rd repair for scraping sound

here is how all 3 repair attempts have gone so far:

1. tightened up wheel well plastic shrouding - did nothing
2. adjusted clearance between brake and wheel hub - helped a little bit
3. tightended torsion bar - seems to have corrected the problem.

the scraping sound in my car was present in both forward and reverse.

I have an issue with my left front tire, everytime I make a sharp right turn it is rubbing on the wheelwell.
I jump a curb going pretty fast a few days ago and ever since then I have been having this problem.......what is it?
