I need a new one of these . . .
As you can see from the picture, the gear shift "gate" needs to be replaced. Does anyone know of an OEM or aftermarket source for one?

They did have shift-gate for the 2001-2002 model cars as I purchased one for my car. Not sure on the part number though. I would call if it is not clear. While you are at it you should replace the door pins as metal ones look much better than the plastic. AMG racing peddles should be on your list as well for the inside.

The dealer has them for just under $160, but they'll have to look it up by VIN. For example, 2026805939 has a list price of $157 ($125 with MBCA discount), but I have no way of knowing which wood my example has. Using the VIN will ensure the color is right.
