Unhappy Help needed power seat removal 2002 CKL 55

Hoping anyone out there can help me. Drivers seat motor (the one which moves seat backward & forward other motors ok) is dead. I need to get the seat removed to replace the motor. Problem is the seat is so far forward I cannot access the 2 front Torx bolts to remove the seat track. Rear ones no problem. Is there a release on the motor or a way to manually move the seat back? If I could bet it back about 1 1/2 inches, I would be home free. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chuck in Atlanta

Did you check the fuse it might be just that...when mine was giving out on the passenger side it kept on burning the fuse about 2 times a week but it was still working...hope this helps...

you have to remove the seat torque screws on the side and lift the seat cushion, i also recommend you remove the computer with all the wires attached to it to give yourself more room
