Calgary to cincinnati
Well i am planning to drive my 04 CLK55 from Calgary (Canada) all the way down to Cincinnati OH sometime around mid June. According to mapquest the trip is about 1900+ miles, and my car has about 19000 miles on it. Service B will be done in in few weeks, and i am installing new tires. Well my silly question is, do you think the car will make it with no problems for such a long trip? do i need to do something other than service B and tires before hitting the road? do i need to take some oil/coolant with me just in case?.
any feedback from people who have done such long trips would be appreciated.
Thanks and sorry again if this thread is in the wrong place.
I once had a problem driving across the German countryside, on my way back from Hockenheim. The darn easy entry latch froze on the driver's seat, leaving it in a awkward position. These cars are rock solid on the track but look out for the electric seats.
The navigation system directed me to a Benz dealer within 20 minutes - but it was a truck dealer. Another dealer was only another 15 minutes away (gotta love Germany).
They fixed the seat for free. "We call it service" said the head tech.
Gotta love Benz.

it was a great drive and i was very pleased with how great my car did. 32-33 mpg the whole way.
you will be fine, especially if you are getting it serviced before you leave. check your tire pressure and you should be good to go, they will make sure all the fluids will be fine.

Thanks
