Not even one full second faster? Are you sure about the time on the CLS?
I guess this really says allot about the CLS eh? It is supose 40% more rigid then the E but still![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Today 5/25/09 my beloved S320 was totalled. I was rear ended by a Chevy 2500 pick up at a stop light. He slid 50ft and knocked me another 30 feet. He crushed the right rear of the car bending the frame. His truck had to be towed away. I drove mine away.
I was on my way to a special detail so I was in uniform. The look on his face when a uniformed police officer got out of the car he just hit was priceless!!!
I am OK!! sore and stiff. The impact bent the drivers seat a good 6 inches. The car performed perfectly. Had I been in anything smaller and less well built I am sure the outcome would have been much worse.
Yes the other driver was un-insured!!
NICE!!!

I did not see the picture until I was finished reading your post. When you said that the Chevy had to be towed I was expecting to atleast see broken glass etc. but wow she held up very good

The W-140 performed better than any other car I have ever seen.
I would love to find another one.
I am however looking seriously at an ML55 to add to the AMG collection.
The one bright spot is I get to go car shopping - YEAH!!!!
