CLK55 AMG, CLK63 AMG (W208, W209) 2000 - 2010 (Two Generations)

Any differences in 2001 CLK55 and 2002 CLK55?

Any differences in 2001 CLK55 and 2002 CLK55?
I thought both cars are the same identical cars except for the wheel center caps, but on the MB website, 2002 rated 4.9 sec and 2001 rated 5.2 sec from 0-60 MPH. Does anyone know why?

One other difference...the '02's have a safety release inside the trunk (all 208's apparently had this feature added). Base price was a few dollars more too

I can't guess as to MB's acceleration numbers
