Linguatronic Language change?

Has anyone else managed to do this?

The car I bought has German installed. However I want it to speak English as that is my mother language... Not that my German is bad.

The Car is a W208 from 2000.

I've looked around but the information I've found is a bit conflicting.

Thanks :-)

Check with Steve at MBenzNL to be sure, but I believe you cannot change language without changing the module. I started with English but the module failed. Steve swapped in French as a replacement. It works kind of like a wife - she hears what she wants to hear and she doesn't hesitate to talk back ... except when she decides to give you the silent treatment.

haha. Thanks for that.

I did notice today she was hesitant to work with me.. but it could be my English accent when I speak German

I will send him a message !

Do you remember how much it cost ??

Thanks Luke

I'm not sure anymore how much it cost - I would guess 800 euros installed. My car did not have linguatronic before so Steve had to install the control stalk on the steering wheel column. if you already have that done in your car it may cost less for the rest. The module itellf like a lot of MB electronic equipment (telephone ....) nestles on the top of the gas tank under the trunk mat.
