My Drag Strip Results.

Well as stated in an earlier thread I went to the drag strip.
Initially I had a really hard time to get my all seasons to hook.

First run was 14.18@104.2 2.5 60'.

Afew runs later I ran my best of

60' 2.15
(Left lane 330',1/8th, 1000' was not working)
13.53@105.90mph

Rest of the runs were 13.6-13.7 105-106mph. My 1/8th times were usually 9.0@80mph

D/A was between 1800-2000 the entire time. Car was full weight with almost a full tank of gas and I weigh 230.

My best mph was 106.21.

For a comparison a E46 M3 was running consistant 14.0's@100-101.

Looks like you had fun....congrats! Times seem to be consistent with others posted.

Nice! I was dying to get to the track this year. Really miss it, but also wouldn't go back without drag radials, I was getting very messy 60's at NED last years.

Glad someone finally asked about your avatar guy, sinister looking dude.

The benz said it was 75-80 all day. Humidity was around 50-55% or so. Felt way hotter... i was dying in the car with the helmet on. And I am horribly burned too lol.

D/A = Density Altitude 0=perfect. The higher the worse your car will run.

OP = original post.

for those temps & humidity those are good numbers. If humidity was 30 or less and temps were in the 60s you'd probably be @ 13.2 so good solid numbers.

No thanks. I hate the heat. Although this is unusually cool for this time of year. We get it all in chicago. 110 heat indexes, 100 percent humidity, and 50 below windchill and glorious mounds of snow.

I will be going back when it gets cooler. Gunna get my tune done, and going back with drag radials. If I cut a 2.1 on a 5 year old all season. I am expecting to cut sub 2.0's easy with drags.

Mid-high 13s are typical for a CLK55, nice times! Any other mods besides the K&Ns?

Does a cd changer that won't eject count as a mod?

My 6cd changer in the trunk still works. But can get annoying when changing the cds.

Mine works fine. Plays CD's, changes without a problem. The eject button seems unresponsive. It's on my to do list.
