I think you meant less expensive OEM or more expensive aftermarket? Well, If you're into modding your car like most of us, then you'll go with the aftermarket pads and rotors which will cost you more money. If you stick with the OEM you'll be fine as they're very good especially for your daily commute on the streets. However, if you plan to track your car then you might want to upgrade the stock. Hope that helps a bit...just my 2 cents.

If you buy your own pads look to spend no more than $100 or less for the fronts only. If you use OEM pads and have a dealer or private mechanic do them, look to spend any where from $150-$200. I know that's a lot but not too many places will do them much cheaper unless you have your uncle or family friend do them for you.

02 CLK 55 AMG,09 C63 loaded with P30
Go with the Hawk pads. I use Hawk ceramics. Hawk HPS bite better but more dust. Since I don't track my car, I have no need for HPS.

CLK 55 AMG 2005 and CLK 63 AMG cab.2007 - 2009 EVO - 2013 ML63 AMG - 2018 G63 AMG
I changed my OEM AMG pads because they squeeked alot at low speed (light, stop sign)

I went with "EBC Red Stuff".
Good brake: as good or more VS OEM
Dust: less! but still some
Noise: ... still had almost the same noise for 1 month ! but now there quite (Time took care of the noise)

for a total of 9/10 points for me

Akebonobekoblababllba don't remember the name, alot of members use it

I didn't because they do not do 6 pistons pads for my front

Anyway good luck
