CLK55 "rocking" in the rain...
I came to a stop at a light today during heavy rain. Suddenly I felt my CLK55 slightly shaking from side to side as if the engine was idling very rough. Turns out I had the wiper set to the highest speed (for the first time). I can't believe how that could "rock" the car that much. Anybody else experienced this?
BTW. How do you get the wiper to stay in center position like the guys on the track?

Yup; Same here. Amazing isn't it?? That wiper set on high can remove fresh road kill from your windshield. Hit a pedestrian, and it's blocking your view?? WIPE it off!......

Funny you write this. I just noticed my car rocking yesterday.
Does anyone know how the rain sensor works? Does it run a small electrical current through the glass and measure changes in resistance? Or is it a pressure based measurement?

The rain sensor uses a Infrared sensor to measure the percipitation on the windshield.
