Just pick up my 2001 CLK55, what a fun ride home!
Finally signed the paper and pick up the car around 6PM. It is brilliant silver with charcoal interior, and with K2a option. The engine exhaust sound is awesome! It sounds aggressive compare to my E55, and all that power in the small CLK is addicting. Now I am wondering if a kompressor is even necessary for a CLK. My wife couldn't wait to take the car out tomorrow.

Congratulations. I've had my '01 CLK55 for a little over a year and it still continues to delight me (and get faster). The best combination of features and performance that I've found. I hope you enjoy yours as much.

The body shows, if driven hard, some aging.SFC`s could be helpful I think.

Congrats and enjoy... That beast is addictive.
Get ready for the mods...
If you want the sound to be a little more agressive, remove the resonator and replace it with a stainless steal straight pipe. This is an easy mod (about $150.00) and the exhaust sound is very cool, NOT rice rocket like at all.

My wife just couldn't stop driving her car, she loves the beast. She did warn me about messing with her car, so any mod. is out for now. I am trying to talk her into the Comand retrofit but since the baby is due soon I won't bring it up until May. I think my E55 is feeling left out
