CLK430 Front Calipers
I bought new pads and I'm having a problem getting the front calipers off. I removed the anti rattle spring and the plastic caps covering the bolts holding the calipers on but I can't see what kind/size bolt is attached. It feels round and I tried allen wrench to no avail. Can anyone tell me what to use to loosen the calipers? Do the pads slide out once I get the caliper off the rotor?
I had the wheels off and the rear pads done in under 30 minutes but the fronts are baffling me.
Any help would be most appreciated.

This is more of a pedestrian W208 question as the AMG brakes are a little different. 
Unless I'm mistaken, the last time I did the fronts the caliper mounting bolts could be removed with a #7 allen. The allens wrenches in this photo are just to confirm the location of the bolts.
