CLK55 - Anyone successful with piggybacking/programming MOTEC and CAN BUS?

HI All,

I am looking at doing a Twin Turbo LS6 setup in a 2002 CLK55 OR making a custom intake and twin turbo setup.

I already successfully created a custom Procharger setup on a CLK55 with 03 Cobra Injectors and used the cam signal to trick the MAF.

I know about the CAN BUS system in the CLK with 30 control modules etc...

I am going to use the Bosch Alternator and stock air conditioner compressor.

My idea is to NOT remove the existing ECU but to piggyback off of the ignition key signal and run ACCEL DFI for the LS6.

I know the guages are an issue. I believe using a piggyback setup I can still get the AC and heat to work.

So the question is two part.

Has anyone successfully piggybacked of the stock ECU with a custom fuel injection unit such as Accel DFI?

Is there software available to program the stock MOTEC800 Ecu?

Thanks.

Good luck. I heard AEM FIC8 has been used as a piggy back. Where would you mount the turbo/s?

In the front fender wells. Lots of moving around to do. Smaller resovoirs.

I made a front mount intercooler and tubing that went through the frame rails for the Procharger. Its tight but it works great. Need alot of work on an aftermarket bumper.

I will look into the AEM unit.

We will make up custom headers and intake if we do this. Swing the throttle body up front.

Still looking for a solid clk55 to purchase. Some people think they look in Kellys Blue Book...

Going to the MB auction soon.

Motec have all the software you need for download on their website.

I have used the M800 with a MAP sensor in place of the MAF on turbo cars with great results.

There were no issues with the coil over intake/exhaust ignition system on the MB? That always seems to be the issue.

I will probably use modified fuel rails and injectors. I have not come up with a solution to integrate or replace the stock coils because of the dual plug setup.
