Thanks for the great show!
First of all I want to say thanks to Samir for taping the race. I'm just curious what year the M3 is? Anyway congrats on beating him it was a great race. I used to street race with friends in downtown Detroit but we were racing Mustangs,Corvettes and Camaros not Benzs' so it was a little different.
As for Linh, why don't you relax, Samir has no reason to lie if he lost then he lost big deal. There isn't a person who ALWAYS wins, we all lose sometimes.
Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you read in magazines and please stop talking like an expert on the car.
Samir, keep the videos coming...

Kudos to Mach 430! A most comprehensive and astute comment addressing this issue....Now if only the errant M3 owner can be convinced ( aka, the majority) of the same; Though I assume in this case the well known aphorism, "youth is wasted on the young" applies.
Sorry, I accidently hit edit on your instead of reply

Brian Yee-----Yeeeee-How buddy! Greetings!
Hey I do know that story about Mach430 and that M5. I actually know the driver of that M5 he is a war vet and lost his both legs and arms to a landmine. However he still insists on driving even though he gets constantly beaten by the likes of Mach 430 and to a lesser degree by the rice rockets. He just wants to be one of us ---is that so wrong?

This is "jrtw" inspired; I also ran "Detroit Iron" in my street racing days. Great memories! One car I remember well (wish we didn't sell it..would be a hell of a conversation piece now.) was my brother and my 70 1/2 Z28 Camaro. (Mach 430, the board's mod king would appreciate this) From what my substance abused mind can recall,
We ran 13.5 compression,a roller cam with obscene lift and duration, dual 750 Holly double pumpers on a Weiand Tunnel, shortened Dana, M22 trans, and a host of other mods I can't recall. That car would run 11's all day long. Leaded 115 octane race gas was $1.10/gallon!!, with leaded premium running $.23.9. I am afraid to admit that I obviously related more to Vin Diesel's '69 (?) Charger in Fast and the Furious than the Ricers( helping my nephew look for a type R integra at the moment, btw.) Never thought I'd see Hondas running the ETs we did in the old muscle cars... Anyone want to buy my Hydrometer and Snap On tach and Dwell?? Cheap???

Guys, please don't let this turn into a flame war or else it will be closed. Thanks!
Also, instead of a normal street race with just average drivers... I would like to see real race. I think we all should put some pressure on Mach430 and Simon to do a M3/C32/CLK55 shootout since Evosport has some professional drivers and have it done on a track and not a street.
So what do you say?

Prince Samir I personally have been happy with you results untill I remembered that Clk is around $80k versus $50-55k for M3 that's a huge, huge, humangous difference in light of that I have to take the crown away from you and give it to the punk in M3 that blew the second run.

Fine, let's put it this way. BMW was trying to enter the DTM racing series with their "M3 GT" car, well the car was turned down for several reasons, one of them was safety. Thus concluding, the M3 just isn't even in the same class as the CLK!
The CLK 55 has everything the M3 does and more.

I hate to tell you, but that wasn't even a M3 in the movie clip, you might not doctored the video, but you obviously want that losing car to be M3, I feel sorry for you, get a life. Linh stated perfectly, M3 under 5 sec. CLK55 over 5 sec. get your fact straight.

CLK 55 vs M3:
0 to 60 Acceleration Speed: 4.9 Seconds | 5.0 Seconds
CLK 55 vs M5:
0 to 60 Acceleration Speed 4.9 Seconds | 5.2 Seconds
There you have it, the CLK 55 is faster than both the M3 and the M5.
(We all know Karl is happy! LOL!)

If indeed the video's losing car is a M3, I'm very suprise the M3 would lose because my friend had a CLK55 and we race each other almost every week. M3 always win and even when we switch car, same result.
