CLK 320 CDI Noisy engine
I have a CLK 320 CDI with 32k mileage. She has recently (3 weeks) started to make a rattling/tappety noise every time I press the accelerator and it is getting worse.
A couple of years ago a similar problem to this did happened and Mercedes replaced the two air filters and that seemed to cure the problem. Although on that occasion the noise only appeared when the engine was cold.
Now the noise is there irrespective of engine temperature and much coarser and louder and I think the diesel consumption has also increased slightly.
Any suggestions please???
