Replaced front wheel bearings

I have a 2001 CLK55 AMG I take it to the dealer near me for service. I have been a auto mechanic since 1967 I do some work on my car if I can I am in my 60s. The dealer told me that I should replace the front wheel bearings so I got the kit from the dealer Mercedes right well when I went to do the job I looked at the bearings and they were stamped JAPAN on them. I don't get it. So I did replace them took it out for a test drive and the right front bearing is making a noise. I think this is BS if I wanted a JAP car I'd bought one. I don't get it and I am not happy with Mercedes.

Using a dial indicator, how much free play did you have? The WIS states 0.01 to 0.02 mm

WHEEL BEARING KITS

I have a shake at around 60 mph and I wonder if it could be the bearings? Would they do this?

Is there a good brand to purchase for the WHEEL BEARING KIT? I see available- TIMKEN, BECK ARNLEY and SKF on some autoparts websites. Should you replace the front and rear and how difficult is this job?

AMG10, any reason the dealer wanted the bearings to be replaced? What kind of grease did you use?

When front rotors are replaced on most 2wd mercedes benz cars the bearings need to be repacked. Was this the case?

Hello sorry so long to get back. Yes the shake at 60 could mean the bearings are in need of change. But I think you should check the tire balance first. Any of the bearings TIMKEN, BECK ARNLEY,SKF. Should be fine the grease I got from Mercedes they sell it in tubes. The service time for bearings is about 60 or 70 thousand miles. What made me mad was the bearings were from Japan on a German car?
