Is having two AMG vehicles twice as good?

I just ditched the day to day C280 today. I don't really want to use the CLK55 for the daily grind. So, I've got myself a 2002 C32. The missus thinks that I'm crazy and should have spent that money seeking help instead...haha I'll soon find out if having two AMG vehicles is twice as good, twice as much fun or just plain silly.

I drive a C55 and the wife drives a SLK32, she is soon to upgrade to an SLK55 or maybe even an SL55 if we can find the right price, but she prefers the smaller roadsters. I know these things are expensive over your way though compared to what we can get them for here in the states.

Yeah, it's silly and selfish having 2 AMG roadsters, but I forgive myself!

There's quite a few members on this forum that have 2 AMG's and some that have even more! It's a grateful feeling!

My 2006 SLK 55 AMG and 2005 SL55 AMG!

I hear you. We had to get rid of our SLK32 with only 4000 miles on it when we got the SL. Just not enough garage space.

Yes, it's criminal what they charge down under! I'll be looking for a C63 when it's more reasonably priced. I had a good drive of one last week and it's definitely on the AMG radar!

I'd say twice as fun and twice as expensive! I would love to have two AMGs. If the ML430 ever craps the bed and I need a replacement, my next ML will be an AMG for sure.

After two weeks of running around with both cars, I've decided that the CLK55 is better than the C32. For starters, it sounds so much better with the low V8 resonance. Then there's the traditional solid thump when the doors are shut, the more comfortable seats with air pumps and it just feels more solid all around. The C32 isn't a bad car at all, it does some nice features over 55 being a later model car. Either way, I feel blessed having the two cars to play with.

Twin amg comparo.......

I dd my clk55 with a few bolt-ons, my wife has the pp c63 stock.

While the c63 is more visceral...... I actually prefer my clk55... better ride, more comfortable, better gas mlg.

It may be the pp in the c63, but man is it harsh on the back!
And I would get tired of that mustang-glasspack exhaust note real quick as a dd.

Guess I'm getting old

Naturally speaking, we have marginal utility, in which satisfaction derived from the same product decreases as quantity consumed increases.

But AMGs are not natural.

I've only had the C32 for about 6 weeks, already thinking about ditching it. The torque range of a V8 is just far more enjoyable. Will it be an E55 or a C63 next? hmm... food for thought, something to work towards for next year.
