getting my Forgestars painted

Getting my Forgestar F14's painted because the finished didn't match on them. Actually it is just slightly off, I didn't even notice until I took some pics of the car and someone pointed it out to me and I was like I guess I was just excited to finally get them after a 3+ month wait so that was my fault for not checking. But I also wanted to get them redone because the paint/finish is really thin on these Forgestars, I swear the paint will chip and scratch if a rock just looked at it I decided on black but told the shop to call me right before paint so I have time to decide if I wanted a gloss or matte finish. Got the call today and on the 20 minute trip to the shop, I literally saw 8 cars with black wheels. I love the look but figured it was just too common in my area. So I looked at some color options at the shop and decided to paint them neon pink That should look on on a silver car right?

J/K, I decided on a Metallic Smoke color. I'm gonna pick them up this weekend. I can't wait TC

Looking forward to seeing them. I'm pretty sure I settled on the F14 as my next wheels. I love they way they look. Should there be a pic in your post?

It suck that the original paint chiped away.

Is there a product you can put on the rims soo that won't happen
with your new paint?

I'll post pics of the new color wheels when I get them this weekend. TC

Then only thing I can think of is maybe shoot a couple coats of clear on on the wheels before you mount them. TC

Why not get them powder coated instead of painted? Since those Forgestars are not really forged, I think you could easily do powder coating. It should last like a factory finish and you can add any type of clear to it if you want (matte, gloss, etc). Although several powders don't need any clear at all.
