Picking up my new clk55 this week...

Looking fwd to picking up on valuable info here on the thread.
Question regarding the interior trim.
This car has the wood grain dash and doors. Not my style as I would prefer the brushed alum or better yet carbon fiber or carbon fiber look alike.
Is there a reasonably priced CF kit out there? Not the peel and stick.

TIA
Soon to be owner.

Take the kit out and wrap w/cf yourself. it saved u alot of money. There is a DIY on this section. U just have to search thats all.

Edit: what year is the car ? W208 or W209 ?

W209
I drove many cars, but this one pushed all the right buttons.
I will check the DIY section, but seems like a lot of work.
I have CF trim in my current audi s4 and gotta have it.

I found the CF wrap thread

Looks interesting.
Would rather pay $500 or so for someone else to ship me faux or real CF trim panels already done right. Saw on another thread where they were doing a group buy for $700 for the good stuff, but for the W208 I believe.

Gonna drive the car 600 miles back to ATL.
Will I need a to sit on a pillow after 400 miles or so? Seats in the AMG appear a bit hard with little padding. gonna break up the trip with a business call or two.

I don't think the seats are too bad. My butt has never complained but then again I've never driven 600 miles in one shot. Let us know how it goes.

Not alt all, the bolsters feel hard as they add support but your back and butt will be fine...remember it's a cruiser first and foremost with big power and some handling thrown in, not the other way around...

Clk55 cab
I just got a 55 from Houston. Shipping to Miami was $549. I thought of driving it but the time, fuel and increased odometer mileage made it a good decision to me.

I prefer the black birdseye, but I know a couple of guys who've gone the wrap route. It's not that much work. Here's a link to a guy who did it on a CLK. It's about $50 and as easy as it looks.
