slight modification to front bumper, what are your thoughts??

I've decided to modify the front bumper slightly by removing that center umm diffuser im going to call it and insert black grille mesh.

You guys think that's a good idea or is it too much like rice? Ive never bothered with grille mesh before just bc its so overused but i think it may look sharp on this app.

Best part i can just re-insert the middle piece if i dont like it.

Depends on the final look IMO. Done right, it might look okay.

Done wrong, it will look cheap.

What I'm going for is for the mesh not to be noticed and to black out the little support beams in the middle that the diffuser used to mount to.

kinda hard to see in the pic but it's black mesh. tomorrow i smoke the mirror markers hopefully and i gotta change out those headlights. after the headlights and lowering kit come to fruition, then i can focus on the exhaust project.

mesh grill

I installed a lower mesh grill on my 2002 and it looks much more aggressive! I had to paint the mounting tabs black to match the grill. I got it from Mira. Total cost: $95. Well worth it!

I think it looks alot tougher than that little dainty piece that went in the middle originally and unless you are looking at it directly; it is not very noticable.
