anyhow ..
you should see if you can somhow throw some leds into that bumper .. shyt would look hot !! I would black out that chrome on the gril and just leave the star in chrome . this it would set off the blackness evenmore .. blackseries emblem fail but prob blend in better with blk emblems . each is own , nice work though ..
as far as your headlights . did you have factory xenons or you running hid kit .

2001 CLK 55 AMG.......... 2001 Corvette Z06.........
eh to each his own....umm the factory headlights were HID lo-beam but halogen hi-beam which didn't make any sense to me.
Now they are HID hi and lo beams and they are 10x better than stock.....i believe they have the 8k bulbs in them. Only PITA is they aren't self-leveling so I get an error.
I need to do a new thread once I get the bumper on but until I get rid of some bills my project outlook is much smaller now.
now: front bumper install, sat nav, dual exhaust, rear spoiler and ecu reprogram.
On the bumper, the local MB dealer is cool enough to let me try out all their side markers until I get a fit but to me they look like w209 holes....only other pitfall then will be getting pigtails if the bulb mounting is different, hopefully the pins are the same and I can use a pin extractor to save from splicing.
The BS somehow got some moisture under it and it became clouded so I removed it......I have another but it looks much better with just the AMG badge. So the BS badge is history!
Lastly, hey thanx! appreciate the input. I may apply a little black masking take and see if I like it bc the chrome pieces on the grill are just glued on.

Looks Nice! I am going to have a quad exhaust system for my 2001 CLK55 AMG. I just bought a quad diffuser from VIS for my car. When I get it hooked up I will post some pictures end of next week sometimes.

def lmk but i have posted an updated thread since then. i have decided to take a different direction and i am going to go with a lower valence for a stock bumper allowing me to run dual exhaust without having to cut into the trunk.
