Mine is a slate blue designo 2001 clk55 amg with 76k miles, but some deferred maintenance, bought two weeks ago.

02 CLK55 AMG cab. production years?
Cheers all, Newbe here. I just bought an 02 CLK 55 AMG, cab, triple black, 75k. Absolutely love the car. Been doing some homework on the car and from what I have found is that they imported about 1,300 of these in 02. What I have been able to surmise is that they ONLY made the convertible C208 for this one and only year. Then in 2004 they brought out the w209 body. Is this true? Wouldn't you think that this would make this model a "rare bird" in the MB lineup?

For the U.S. market, 208/cabrio was only available for the 2002 model year. Congrats on your acquisition!

Congrats and welcome! You are Member 148.. I would be very curious to see your progress with this car. Your goal of 13.2 in the quarter has been done before (there were a couple guys on this forum that ran that - I think there is a 13.1 posted somewhere so the cars ARE capable! For me, conditions were the biggest factor.

My personal Best was a 13.3 @ 109 flat
