How is this possible without a LSD?

I don't believe it is with or without an LSD. A power-brake release doesn't even leave that much rubber from both wheels and a floored start will only leave a few feet of double marks. Certainly nothing to the amount shown in the video- in my experience. Marketing hype IMHO. But...I don't have a 2003+ model. Maybe the W209 is a monster off the line

no monster
just the factory installed 3.08 stock 25% lock diff.

The 209 CLK55 has shorter geared diff than us. Ours is only 2.82
