Rattling in engine bay

Hi All,
This morning I heard a rattling noise in the engine bay while i was braked at a drive through. Popped open the hood and its definitely coming from the vicinity of the engine.

This only happens when the car is geared in Drive or Reverse. Park or Neutral is fine, no rattling at all. I did a search and the only thing i came up with was the possibility of a loose tensioner, but I'm wondering is this would explain the difference caused by being in Drive instead of Park.

Has any one else had this problem before? And does anyone know if it's serious?

Thanks in advance

It could be the engine mounts. If they are going bad, they can cause vibration and rattles in the engine area. Possible something is a bit loose as well, like another mount or shield in that area.

Could be the converter. A muffler shop (or anyone who's ever had one come apart) can tell you pretty quickly.

Thanks guys, I'm going to take it to my mechanic for an oil change and ask him to do a quick check up those parts
