Hello everyone. I am just in the process of taking possession of a used 2007 CLK63 convertible. It should sit in harmony next to my 300SEL 6.3 (I shall post pics asap). Question now:
It is a Canadian model. Option was a "communication package". MCP what does this exactly include? Handsfree? What kind? The sales person said bluetooth was another option and not included. Is this correct? I'll have the VIN if needed. Thanks
Harald

Welcome and congrats on your purchase.

I am not familiar with canadian packages but it seems your sales person was honest. Through a quick google search i found that the communication package includes tel-aid and phone prewiring.

Coming coming. Remember I said I am in the process to get my CLK63. It is still in transit at the moment. Maybe by the weekend.
Now let me try to upload a pic of my 300SEL 6.3
BTW, my avatar is my 6.3 but it is not showing in my signature. It uploaded OK and is in my profile. Do I need some kind of permission?

Communications package - may mean prewired for a phone.

Yet, one may still need to spend over $1000 to purchase the rest of the package (cradle, component for trunk) to hook up a phone that ties in with the system.

I have a 07 CLK63 too. They come fully loaded except for two options Xeon (sp) headlights w/ headlight washers and an automatic truck lid lower. The prewiring for the phone, Sirius radio and TeleAid are included (at least USA versions).

Anyone have track times or dyno results for the venerable CLK63 (nonBS)????

I love that car...... I bet it would respond well to headers and tune!

Don't you know? It's the car that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.

My 6.3 has the full HP from the early German versions because its #0041.
HP = 250+DIN@4000RPM (about 300HP SAE) and torque = 500+NM@2800 RPM (about 380 lb/ft).

Silver-Baron, what do you mean by full HP? I have the CLK63 as well and would like to know what you meant by your post. Thanks!

Full HP - I am talking about my 1968 300SEL 6.3

Having said that, somewhere I read that European CLK63s have a different intake with more HP?! But I do not know any details.
