CLK55 AMG, CLK63 AMG (W208, W209) 2000 - 2010 (Two Generations)

gears 1 and 2 jerking 15-20 mph. help?

2003 CLK 55 AMG
gears 1 and 2 jerking 15-20 mph. help?

traded cars with my pops for the winter because i dont have a garage and he drives less than i do... i live in boston, the winters here freakin suck so i thought id preserve my car a little... just got it back this week.. im ok with the mileage.. but now in 1st and 2nd the car is all jerky and doesnt shift smooth at all. i noticed the shifts feel a bit delayed overall now too.. its my dad so im not mad, but does anyone know what i need to do? transmission flush? a whole new transmission? (please god no lol). i need some expertise, school a noob here please

You don't have a Valeo radiator, do you? More info here, with the tech bulletin:

My first guess as well. Check the radiator even if you don't have issues, and replace if if it's Valeo. Or at least mount an isolated transmission cooler.

Does it have to do with the fact that it was driven by your dad and the transmission may have to adapt to your driving style? Just a guess. Somewhere here is a trick on how to reset the ecu with the gas pedal.

thanks for the reply stiggs i tried that ecu reset.. no help..
