Wheel Balance - Max Weight Questions

Getting new 20" wheels and tires today. One wheel requires a ton of weight. Needs 8oz in one location, 5.5oz in another, 2.5oz in another, and 0.5 in another. With all this it balances but should I accept this or make them change wheel or tire since purchasing today? Is there a max recommended weight level for balancing that is acceptable?

I've never had twenties, but thats WAY TO MUCH. They are adding over a pound of weight. Something is seriously wrong. Bent rim, the tire is crap, or something. Compare it to the amount of weight they used to balance the other rims they are selling you. I'll bet it's something like 3oz on one, 4oz on another, 3oz on the third and then a pound!

It sounds like that wheel is crap. Ask them to find you another.
