Fuse 51 Keeps Blowing

Fuse 51 Keeps Blowing
I have searched the forums but have not found a similar thread. The issue is that Fuse #51 keeps burning out. The Fuse diagram lists:
Air-Conditioner - #51
Engine Fan - #51
Engine residual heat sys - #51
Headlamp Range Adjust - #51
All of these are on fuse #51. The fuse blows immediately when the engine is started. I have tried starting the engine with the AC turned off, using dash controls, with no luck.
The car is a 2005 CLK55 AMG cabriolet.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Gene

I unplugged the fan and the fuse still blows...
A couple of times I have been able to replace the fuse after the car has sat overnight (engine cold) and it will not blow, until the car warms up.
I also tried to have a local service (not mb dealer) look at it and they have been unable to determine why the fuse keeps blowing.

Local service can't find? Oh my.
Well, wiring shorts can be hard to find....just time (and money).
Here are some thoughts......
You'll need a wiring diagram if you wish to do this yourself.
As above, I guess I would try unplugging the other related system and see if that narrows it down.
Is there a computer code set? That would be a lead.
For DIY, you could also trace the wires and look for a rubbing/ wear through issue. If you did any mods to the car, that could be a good place to look first for wiring wear issues.
As you did here, maybe post on other forums or telephone some MB techs if they ever had a fuse # 51 issue on a CLK.
Good hunting.

Retested disconnecting the fan to see if the fuse blows. The fuse did not blow. Having tried so many things, not sure if the first attempt caused the fuse to blow.
This appears to be related to other posts regarding the FAN issues, except the posts refer to 03 - 04 models, and I have an 05.
Anyone have FAN issues with an 05 CLK55 AMG model?

Finally got the fuse to blow consistently. Simply putting the ignition into the on position, without even starting the car would cause the short.
The solution was replacing the Signal Acquisition Module (SAM). Everything else tested fine.
Thanks for the advice.
