w209 CLK55 headlight lens (cover) Question/Help
Hello All,
Cant seem to find anything, so before i embark in this "blindly" i would like to see if anybody have given this a go. I wanted to see if the Headlight lense can be removed to be cleaned.. Appears they have clips for removal?? Anybody ever done this? OR, does anybody know if anyone sells the lens alone? Dealership states its the complete headlight only that they sell...Annnnd of course, they didnt know if the lenses do come off..Anybody care to help or provide a DIY guide of sorts?

If your goal is to clean the headlamps so they are no longer cloudy, they can be cleaned in place. I called Superglass and had them do it. For $50, they drove out to my house and did mine. The guy wanted to wash the car when he was done, but it was a little too hot. When he was done they were very close to new. Ask your local MB dealer who does theirs. The same company will probably do yours. Lastly, do not let them do this in the garage. The stuff they use splatters everywhere.

Thanks! I had mine cleaned/buffed like ur pic above, but i feel the drivers side lens need to be cleaned from the inside too..cause there is a little bit of dibris inside. When i got the car the dealer replaced them bulbs with 8000k and i can only guess he made em dirty from the inside?? Although it wouldnt make sense cause u dont need to touch the lens when u replace a bulb.. So idk why its still a lil couldy. 
so i am looking to see if anybody knows how to take these puppies off. Thank your for the suggestion though!!

Can you share mroe info on who superglass is? I would totally have this done for $50

It's a chain in most states with a dozen or so independantly owned/operated shops in California. I used the Los Angeles store which is owned by David Lilley. They specialize in windshield repair (try someone else if you're looking to replace a Benz windshield) and headlight lens resto. They aren't hard to find - superglass.com. If they aren't in your state or aren't local, many dealers use a shop to polish the headlamps on used cars. Find who your local dealers use and call them. Trust me, dealers aren't paying $50 a pop so they'll be happy to do yours. Get 19 of your friends (with faded out headlamps) to come over for a BBQ. You guys eat while he works and you may get whatever the dealer rate is. The savings will pay for food a couple of times over and the headlight resto tech will be delighted to do 20 jobs at one location.

It is pretty easy to do headlight refinishing, just time consuming. I use the 3M Pro kit at my friend's shop to refinish headlights that are pure white instead of clear. After an hour or less, they look brand new. The 3M consumer kit can be found at Walmart for about $20 and it will do a pair of headlights. You use a drill and the kit comes with a 3" pad attachment and I think 500 and 800 grit discs, a 3000 grit wet disc and a polishing pad with rubbing compound. I go an extra step and get a good fine scratch remover/polish and that's it! The Pro kit comes with air random orbital air sander and air polisher, 500 grit and 800 grit discs, 1000 and 3000 grit wet discs, rubbing compound and polish, but it is @ $300 instead of $20. It will probably do about 12 cars.
I just redid the headlights on the ML320 last night and they look new.

Mine had oxidation on the inside, I tried many products from quixx, meguiar's, and 3m on the outside and found that none of them did anything, So I opened it up, mine did not have any clips. Just glue, I used a heat gun and a butter knife to open it. And used the meguiar's headlight restoration kit, and it worked.
