If you go to the 209 forum, member Dynomite05 installed one on his '04 320, I don't remember him saying that it had to be modified at all.

The last time I talked to Wes (Dynomite05) he mentioned that the bar fit without modification BUT he said something about the center OEM brackets not working and not used. From what I gathered, he meant that the bar is only secured by the end brackets.

My autocross buddies are telling me you cannot cut/weld a sway bar to modify it to fit as that changes the spring rate and will make the car handle poorly....... unless you know how to heat treat for the right properties.
This sounds very complicated.........

Thats my opinion too,i felt it would be too complicated and u not 100% guaranteed of making th car handle the same. The only solution that i can see is to take passenger side over the sway bar.(but i dont know if it will affect because one side will be straigh vs one side upper+not straight) I Wish i was in my country now to try it over the sway bar,but i think this would be the best solution...

Did you use the OEM Bushings that attach the sway bar to the chassis (is the SB is attached by the endlinks and to the chassis)?
Any pics?
