My 04 CLK55 Exhaust Setup

Sorry guys, had to make my own thread about this

Wanted to join the club of exhaust threads lol

Here's an exhaust clip

http://youtu.be/eBqYqSZQ1EQ

I've gotta say it sounds INCREDIBLE! Love the low end growl upon startup. The video does not do justice of how the car actually sounds, a lot more rumble and low end bass.

What I did:

3" piping all the way through starting from the primaries
X-Pipe designed muffler in the center and two high flow cats right after

The car feels much more responsive now. A bit of drone when reaching higher RPMs but it doesn't bother me much.

Will post drive by's and a cold start vid later on.

On to the pics!

Solo Performance Mach X3 X-pipe muffler

Secondaries out

Right side cutout

Isn't it beautiful?

System in place

Do we all piggyback off this thread as a CLK exhaust thread or just do our own? Looks great BTW

Exhaust work looks top notch. Question though, why did you place the cats post muffler, have never seen it done this way.

They didn't give me an individual price list so I'm not sure how much the muffler alone costs... I'm assuming 200-250 CAD?

I asked the shop the same question but they said it doesn't matter.

I think they did this because it has more room post? Either way I like the sound
