W208 Headers

Is there any company out there that makes longtube headers with 3" collectors for the W208 CLK55? Would any people be interested in doing a group buy to get someone to make them at a reasonable price?

Blackbenzz, who are you thinking of using for the custom headers? MBS in Pasadena might be able to do something for you...

Blackbenzz, I know someone who can probably get you a deal at MBS and has a few other contacts for custom headers other than MBS. I'll get you some info/#'s and PM you Monday.

Seems like there is interest.

MBH said their 210 E55 headers are done but I haven't had any response to my questions since.

Dre- I went on MBS website and noticed that I know one of the guys that works there! Small world

These pics where sent to me as I was not at the shop when the car was finished. So I haven't had a chance to take them into my photo booth and get some nice shots. I will for sure though.

It didn't really play out like I wanted it to though. In the sense that I wanted to get some good photos before we delivered the car. However my friend needed his car back asap so we just didn't have time to do that. Its like any thing else in life sometimes things don't go as planed. As for the headers they came out great. We are awaiting some dyno numbers and a jig check as soon we can get the car back....And that will be soon.

W210 chassis is R&P steering and not the same. Has a front subframe etc. The w202 and w208 are the same. So this would be for clk and c43 cars only and the floor on these chassis are not set up for dual exhaust to fit either.

Sorry to take the thread OT, but how did this turn out? Could you PM me, I may be interested in ordering a pair depending on the costs/gains.

Thanks

Hey guys I've been away for a while but I'm back with some good news. I was talking to a local custom exhaust shop about w208 long tube headers and showed the guy all the pics of my headers he said he could make the headers and be able to make a jig for making more sets.

I asked about pricing and group buy prices for mild steel and stainless...
1 set $2600
3 sets $2400
5 sets $2100
10 or more $1900
Prices shown are for mild steel add $300 for stainless steel.

from what I've learned in making headers for my car a shorty header will not fit on the drivers side.
