Feedback Please
Hey Guys:
I am currently the proud owner of a C36, I am looking to potentially purchase a CLK55 and have found one I like but am a little worried about this one. I would really like some expert feedback and will post the link below. Please pull the carfax provided on the page as it has a great svc history but has had so much done considering it only has 58k miles. Had valve gasket job at 22k. It was also in a front impact accident that the seller states he has no info about which scares me. Just let me know your thoughts and if you would feel comfortable purchasing something like this. Also any helpful recommendation's you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Is there any way I can find out where it was repaired considering I have the vin?

Thanks!!!

2004 CLK55 AMG
I have an o4. It also had the valve cover gasket replaced around 20k miles. At 64k, it all looks good. Mine had a mirror replaced also. Needs another....sigh....

At least the owner was honest and didn't make you go over the car with a fine tooth comb to find evidence of the damage. That said, I still wouldn't consider it. Why? I don't like cars that have been wrecked. Besides, there is nothing on the wrecked car you're considering that you couldn't get on an unmolested car. There really is no shortage of Black W208 55's.
Lastly, valve cover gaskets are nothing. I'd be more worried about the owner's habits if he/she ignored the leaky mess.

Clean car, good miles, nice interior.
But it's got a fender bender. Can you call MBusa and find out how much of a claim it had with the VIN?
I'd want to find out. It could be bumper only and b/c of the cost of MB parts and paint, it would def be turned in to insurance. And that would be a minor thing.
