Transmition fluid check.
Is there anyway to check the transmition fluid on a 2002 clk430? I hear it is a sealed system and you have to have a mercedes dealer do a transmition fluid change on a machine is that true? Is there any way to make the Schedule b idiot watning go away? Thanks

1) Yes, however you have to buy a tool. Unless there is a leak, the fluid is not low.
2) Depending on your definition of sealed, yes it is but neither a dealer or a special machine is required. I’ve had mine changed three times. Each time was at a dealer (about $300), but another shop could have done it.
