Had my car on a lift and just started taking pictures to view at later time.. when I was going thru them I came across these that shows oil leaking from somewhere and wondering if anyone can give me an idea what might be the cause. thanks

Id start at the top and work your way down. Check valve covers and breathers first.

Valve covers very possible. My Clk55 had valve cover leaks at less than 30K miles.
Not a huge job.

Rear-main crank seal..... more of a big job and $$$.

+1, even if I think it could be the rear seal looking at the oil all across the bottom and bell housing. Hope not though....

Remove the black plastic cover (red arrow poitning) run your finger inside the tranny housing to see if there is tranny fluid inside.

Definitely looks like a rear main seal leak to me. This job is pricey, circa 1k on the independent shop end. Double that for a MB dealer to do it.

Thats not bad considering book labor is anywhere from 11.2 to 12.7 depending on the labor guide!
