'04 CLK55 having problems starting?
I tried to start my car today, after I turned the key and let go it got stuck in a cycle of trying to start. After about 4 seconds of cycling I turned the key off, waited about 15 seconds and tried again. The same thing happened.
I put in neutral and pushed it out of the way of traffic while my girlfriend steered. I thought maybe shutting the doors and locking it would reset something. I did that and tried starting it again. It acted like it was going to start cycling but after a couple of seconds it started. I drove it home and have not tried to start it since.
The check engine light is on. Anyone know what the problem might be?
I just had to have the transmission replaced a few months ago. It only has 78,000 miles and I've kept up with the service maintenance through the dealership. I'm beginning to be disappointed with the quality of this car.
