Need help with front rotors

Hello!

Seeking some help with front rotors. I have a 2004 CLK500 (I know, I know.. not an AMG ) But I understand that in the 2003-2004 models, the AMG uses the same size front rotor (345mm), except cross drilled.

The question I have is if there are two different part numbers for left and right?

I am sitting here looking at (2) 203 421 09 12 rotors.. they are very nice, but have directional vanes in them which would make one conclude that one would be on backwards...

Ordered from parts.com and while they did specify a left and right, both were the same part number.

Thank you very much!!!

While you have "203 421 09 12", Left and Right are the same #.....

Not sure on your 209, but on the 208 amg the left and right are directional veins and they are side specific. I know the '04 are much cheaper and dont have floating hubs but are you sure they are directional? If so, are you sure they didnt send you two rights or two lefts??

This is precisely what I am trying to figure out.

I guess to rephrase... Can any W209 2003-3004 CLK55 owners tell me what Mercedes OEM rotors they have used?

There are "2" types of of W209 CLK55 brakes:

1) Ordinary Brakes, Fronts: "203 421 09 12", Rears: "210 423 08 12"

2) AMG Brakes, Fronts: "171 421 01 12", Rears: "171 423 02 12" which has the AMG code #: "030",

*Its depend to the optional of the CLK55 version.....

I know you emailed me so I was trying to get a part # for you. This thread should help you. The calipers and rotors that I have, pics and part #'s are in this thread.

https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...upgrade-2.html

Also, the direction of the vanes are not directional, ie passenger/driver dependent. There was a thread about this somewhere about this not being "correct". but my rotors flip the same way on either side, ie they are the exact same rotor. I was looking at pics from the C63 forum and the brakes do the same thing, so I guess AMG did not see the need for this.
