Thanks. I used automotive paint. It's sort of a metallic black.

The radiator issue was about the radiator leaking into the transmission cooler and messing up the transmission. I have since removed the external cooler and replaced the radiator altogether.

The interior wrap is ok. It wasn't difficult. If you get the CF wrap it's pretty easy to mold. I have removed the wrap because I got tired of it. I like the silver better haha. I might paint the pieces glossy black in the future instead.

ps I would probably just wrap in glossy black over paint just because you can always undo it and it would look better i think since the silver has a gritty finish which may inhibit how shiny it could be

Well it wasn't pretty that's for sure. The entire right side of the dashboard has to come out to swap the radio cage...and that's in addition to the center console. On the car side the only thing that needs rewiring is one of the UCP connectors...had to figure that out from wis diagrams. The PAC can and rc were easy to program. Everything works great. Love the dnn990hd. I have it connecting to my mobile hotspot when I get in the car.

As far as wrapping yes I agree. I'll wrap the entire middle radio piece glossy black...see how it looks.

3 slat grille and exhaust up next.

sounds good man...im still waiting on my roomate to help me get my bumper to paint! Did you get any special clear coat? and how many coats did you get? I heard somewhere about a new ceramic based clear coat that is supposed to be a great product.

Yup ceramic clear coat. Seems to be way more resistant to scratches and swirls. I have no idea how they painted it. I just took it to a good shop around here and told them I want it to match 100% and be perfect. After a large, undisclosed sum of money I got the bumper back and it matches perfectly. Don't skimp out on the paint

lol "large, undisclosed" good god man. I was thinking like $500 to paint it since it's already primed and ready to go!

Well it depends on the area. Around here if you want a good job you're looking at 500+...but yeah seems to be in the ballpark. When are you finishing your conversion finally?

Ouch hahah. Well at least it's gonna look good when it's done. I'll probably finish up the exhaust in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully it turns out good.

yo man that exhaust sounds sick nasty! you running any mufflers at all?

and what you think of the kenwood? I was just reading about it today in an email from crutchfield. I don't think I would have any desire or use for the wifi ability but the 890 was more up my alley

Yeah I like the sound. It's primaries, secondaries, xpipe, 2 resonators, no muffler. Honestly it's not loud at all and no drone. A muffler would make it sound almost stock.

The DNN990 is great so far. It pretty much has every feature you can possibly think of. Can't go wrong with it.

Thanks! Waiting on rear diffuser now. It's on back order for a while apparently.

I am not sure if I should do the 63 lip in the front:

OR maybe some sort of smaller pieces like this:

What do you guys think? The lip seems a little large to me and I'm not keen on the design either.

Megacrazy:

Your mods have been clean, tasteful and just look plain awesome. Your exhaust note is PERFECT no drone and the perfect punch! Been following your thread since the beginning and got a few ideas of my own.

I was 50/50 on the clk63 front (I have the oem AMG front with CF lip for years now) but now I know I will be all in on this one!

any thoughts on get CF onto the bumper slots?

Thanks! You know that idea crossed my mind too. It wouldn't be hard to bring it to a place that works with CF and have them make something that slides over the vents and glues in place. That or you can go the 3M route. I personally am not to keen on that one.

However, with a CF lip in place the CF vents might be a little overkill. I think it would work great on a darker color car, not so well on silver.

Both the front lip and diffuser are in the mail BTW...so that's up next
