Hey Chico,
I was faced with this last year @ tune-up time.
Mercedes oem plug is Iridium which is supposed to last 100,000 miles.
I serviced cars for a living at one time in my life and can say anytime you mate metal to aluminum for more than 25,000 miles at these temperatures your asking for trouble.
I went with a double platinum NGK/Nippendenso/Bosch and plan to change every 2 years.
The plugs were half the expense and work just as well. use a bit of anti-seize and don't overtourqe.
