Access to codes for Check Engine Light
I have a '00 CLK430. The Check Engine light just came on. Anyone know the procedure to pull up the fault codes? Is there even a way to pull them up from inside the car, similar to error codes for AC system?

You'll need a OBDC scanner http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog.../result?q=obdc
PepBoys/Autozone/O'reilly should all have them and some places will read it for free. Connector should be in the driver-side foot well, looks like an old printer parallel port.
I don't think there's a way to make it come up on the screen, that would be nice though.
