what's best exterior car cover?
hi all,
recently i added a new porsche to the stable, so i need to figure out how to protect the S600 temporarily. we're in SF area, so most of the time it is dry outside and i'm just trying to protect from dust and the element.
during the raining season, however, it can get wet. therefore, i would need something that will handle that as well.
any input would be appreciated.

Car covered Mercedes on the streets of San Francisco.... rain and dirt may be the least of your worries.
Seriously storage unit is the best answer.
Can't speak to water proofing other than the Noah cover, yet I can speak to wind.
Whichever cover you choose get one that is secured to the car with clips/ cables etc so it will not blow off, blow over, create an air pocket while installed on the car.

Take a look at the covers offered by "the cover factory" (ebay). I live in Socal, had to leave my car outside for two months (June & July). Purchased this cover fleece lined, all seams sealed, 5 layer protection, cover provided front/back and side/side reinforced eyelets for securing cables (not included). To keep the cover on the car, use front, back and side to side securing with vinyl coated steel cable. That cover did exactly what I needed and kept the ozone and dust off the car. The cover was a great value and did everything advertised.

I use a cover similar to m.e.g.
It's made by Autotechnica by way of Taiwan, the product code is L11. It is fleece lined, fully waterproof, has a uv protected exterior, incorporates electro welded seams with anti-condensation air breathers and non-lift elasticised skirt.
It is actually very good after quite a few years but we are still to see how it stands up to being washed and outdoors in the long term.
