No Crank Pulley for 06 W209 CLK55 AMGs??

Just visited the local tuner's shop to start the process of cat/res delete with ECU/TCU tune.

Was told nobody currently makes an upgraded crank pulley/belt set for the 06 CLK55, and none to be had.

Does anyone know of a set that may be available, or suitable alternative??

With time and patients you could fab one on a Bridgeport or Lathe. A foundry or millwright might fab one to spec as well.
I bet someone out there fabs custom pulleys.

There are some available on ebay too I believe. Last I checked they were only $315. Search for AMG pulley.

Upgraded HB for M-113 N/A

there is a Fluidampr HB for our Motors , It is not widely known & Not listed anywhere. I personly have them on my owns cars . CLK 55 AMG & 03 ML 500. The motor's are smoother & Quieter. It is a little heavier than the OE , The motor revs better and I saw a 4 rwhp increase. You will also need a new ARP bolt .
I've installed 6 of these and had no issues.

Fluidampr

I'm very aware that it is not listed, They made a limited production run and sold only to a select group of dealers. I am not a vender on this forum so I'm not permitted to sell as a vendor or have the special privileges bestrode to a paying vendor , to do business on this forum. . But anybody whom has dealt with me , will tell you I'm a Jam up person , and in good standing within the MB world community. Cheers _PTEngineering

The CNC has the light, You should be able to find a local machine shop with one of these. The CNC require custom programming but its the way to go these days. They can laser scan your OEM and shrink or en-large. (wife's wish)? LOL
Pop was a tool and die maker for aircraft parts, when the going got tough on these early CNC milling machines they had him. The Bridgeport is far outdated but with attachments and fabbed dies, aircraft was mass produced.

I don't see anything out of place. Motor mounts look good and there is no vibration at any other rpm. Steering wheel is rock solid at all speeds.

A quick question for PTE!

You mentioned that Fluiddampr pulley allowed the car to rev better, I take it you mean faster?

How is that if the pulley is heavier than OEM?

I'm asking because I want to get a lightend pulley for faster engine revs!

No Crank Pulley for 06 W209 CLK55 AMGs??

The 4 Horse power increase showed from 2400 to 4800 rpm. That generally makes the 1000 ft times lower. Plus in my ML which has hard durometer rubber engine mounts , you can feel the smoother motor

When you guys change the weight of the Crankshaft reciprocating mass there will be an out of balance factor.
Dynamic engine balancing is accomplished @ Harmonic balancer/dampener and weights on the flywheel/flexplate. Custom engines are normally balanced by weight with measurements of each piston and rod Assy. further balancing is accomplished by crank shaft counter weight and final dampener/flexplate tuning.
we normally swap pulley's to accommodate supercharger final drive ratio. The final dynamic engine balance is not effected much with this mod.
To obtain different torque characteristics we adjust the final reciprocating weight @ the flywheel normally on circle track stick cars.
The Carbon Fiber drive shaft is the newest tech I have read about to address this concern.

All the Best, Gator

I will be making an ATI balancer to fit soon.. It will use a corvette or supra outer ring and make the inner hub to spec.
