Now wondering if the ARP head bolt mod and M159 valve buckets might be smart to do.....since I have NO warranty. Maybe an aftermarket warranty would be smart?

Just bought a warranty....5 years for anything 'cept brakes, tires, normal maint.....3700 bucks for 5 years/60,000m.

It covers TSB's for a $100 deductible. That will get my valve buckets and head bolts replaced before they break. plus anything else that we need within 5 years.

I feel better now!

3.7K seems a small price to pay for piece of mind. I may have just missed your car in Easton PA. A 13K car blue with light interior was available and I drove out from RI to evaluate it. The car sold during my drive to the dealer. It was headed to Texas that day. Absolutely gorgeous color. At least I got to see it

Redcab,

Out of the 143 they imported, most seem to be silver, black or red. The one you're talking about is the only other blue one i've seen or heard of. Mine came fron N. C. I set the cruise control and passed through 18 different speed traps getting back to Tx.
I did have a lapse of sanity when a new Camaro SS pulled up next to me and wanted to play. The CLK63 promptly blew his doors off.

Don't give up your search...these cars are simply awesome.

The words of support are appreciated. I tried to convince myself that the blue would show scratches quite easily...but that was truly just a rationalization. I was very disappointed to have missed the car.

My search continued and 2 months or so later, a silver over black CLK 63 became my beloved Brunhilde. The car is 2008 and had 14K on the odometer. I gave up the light interior and parktronic features of the blue cab, but I have come to love this car as equipped. All is well that ends well. I'm pleased your CLK 63 has found a good home with someone who appreciates it.

Which company is this ?

I looked into aftermarket warranties years ago with another AMG, several wouldn't cover any AMGs...nuttin'.

Carchex.

The usual stuff applies. You need proof of maintenance, oil changes and have to put 1,000 miles on your car and have one calendar month before any claims.

Noobie here, got a 07 clk63 cab that I love a few months ago and it's driving me nuts trying to change the dash clock for daylight savings. I don't know if it matters, but I have navigation, so no clock on that screen. The only setting options I have are Instr cluster, Lighting, vehicle, convience
Can anyone help someone confused....

On the speedo under the instru, cluster, the next down is time date, use the + or - to get to that selection then use the Up arrow or down arrow to set time/date, the + and - will change the time when pushed there is also a synchronization that will change the time automatically if you go through a time zone change, this is a function that is only avail with nav. Once the speedo face show the right time the clock will move to the selected time.
This is for my E as it was closer to get the manual, pg 168. The CLK63 should be similar.

On my '08 I think I did it through the NAV menus... there is a clock at the bottom of my radio (and maybe nav?) screen. It was cool, as I was changing the computer, the dash clock was spinning to keep up. Or maybe it spun to set when I clicked OK... I forget.

When I change mine I'll report back the details.

Mine, the next one under instru cluster is lighting, there's no clock setting on the list. I read through my manual many times to no help. I wonder if I have to go to a dealer

I had to adjust to eastern time zone (I live in MN) to change the time in the center console screen. My navigation is only updated to 2011, so it probably didn't realize daylight savings start time changed a few years ago. Thank you guys for the help!

Yep, set it on the COMAND menus, the "analog" dash clock spun to match when I clicked to accept the new digital time.

My command menu only has inst cluster, lighting, vehicle, and convience, no time change. It's only in the navigation menu within my navigation, I had to put I lived in eastern time zone for it to change an hour ahead.

well I'm sure there's a way to set it... not every problem goes in even hours lol

I think I hit a physical button on the left... "SYS" maybe? I've seen pictures of a "SERV" button, so maybe that one? Then it was the top left menu (inner) button.

2008 CLK63 Cabriolet, 2018 GLE 350
I've had my 2008 CLK63 cabrio for about 2 months now. Took me ~3 years to find the right one but when I saw this baby with 19K miles for 42K (final price after dealing and wheeling 38.5K) I had to jump on it.

Loving everything about it so far, except for an odd dashboard problem I just posted https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg...-behavior.html and 100 bucks for a hand stitching top repair on the rear window edge I have had no problems with it.

I still have a stupid grim every morning when I hit the start button and hear that low rumble behind me...

You can buy a chip for you key fob that lets you control the top from a distance with one click. It will also let you raise the speed limit for putting the top down.

My soft top is separating by the rear window like yall mentioned. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing it before it gets worse?
I found a local top guy who fixed mine with hand stitching. Took him a little under two hours and he only charged me 100 bucks. I did a lot of research and it seems glue just won't do it because it is so taut.

Congrats again for the buy, yes that CLK63Cab does bring a fella into permagrin, wife wants hers out soon today finally 10C but rain tomorrow, will wash some more grim off the roads. Anyways your dashboard issue sounds like a main connection in the back of the cluster is loose or perhaps a bad thing the circuit board inside is cracked, try to get to the back of the cluster and check for secure connections. Have not experienced any such behavior in our cars. As a kind gesture could you post a picture of your top convertible fix with the hand stitching, a friend of mine is a leather saddle builder and wants to sew the seam for me, we were just looking for some stitch that will hold with the stress of the taut fabric. Was it a blind stitch or did he have to remove the inside liner to accomplish this feat. Such a beautiful car and the top has this 3 inch separation starting, AHHHHH!
Thanks in Advance

BTW, all the manuals can be found here http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...lass=CLK-Class It's a lot easier to search a PDF than to brouse through the hard copy.

I wish I could figure out how to post a picture from my desktop

Mine was easy to do as it was on the side not the top. Lowering the top half-way allowed him to get at it. It is visible if you get up close but at 3K for a full top replacement it's a no brainer.

You can get any manual off this link http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...owners_manuals, just set it for your vehicle.
