My bone-stock clk63 amg
I picked one up last month...still driving it here in CT with the top down and heater on high....but only for a few more weeks then it goes into storage until spring.
My friend owns a BMW Z3.0 roadster, and we've been talking about cabrio's for awhile. I let him drive the amg the other day.
We stopped for lunch and he handed me back the keys "I liked my car until a few minutes ago...the power is unbelievable, I thought my car was fast, there's no comparison, this is scary fast! It's so quiet, there's no wind noise, you can't even tell the top is down, you can talk, and you can hear the rumble of that motor!
....the brakes are better, the seats are better, the interior is better, the stereo is better...even the paint is better, you could seat four if you had to, and I could be comfortable in this car for two hours, the ride is so much nicer. I know it's apples and oranges, but your car really blows mine away. After driving this for fifteen minutes I'm seriously thinking of selling my Z and finding one of these"
yes, the color is darker the year following, my wife calls this color "teal" and under certain light there is a green cast to it, almost like it has a green pearl on it.
over on the Cape, looking forward to hosting a CLK63 AMG gathering out here some day next spring!

There's a fellow in Rhode Island that just picked up a red one, and there are a couple in the NYC area that I know of...

"it kind of jumps like that. The traction in that car SUCKS, it spins the tires at every red light!" I told her that daily-driving a prius might make her a little heavy footed at launch.
then she says "the service manager LOVES your car, says he's never had a CLK63 convertible in his shop...he walked me around telling me all about it, the brakes, the motor, the factory, the one-man-one-motor" thing...he made it sound very special, actually. I kind of floored it on the way home.. it really is scary fast." she might be warming up to it a bit.
