Wedge bulb

I have a 2002 CLK55 AMG. I was out and about today and stopped into an auto parts store as I have a burnt out passenger side front marker lamp. According to sylvania, it takes a 5007 push and twist round base bulb as the replacement for the front side marker lamp. When I removed the burnt out bulb I found that it was a wedge type bulb. (just pushes into place) I don't know what the part number is for that style bulb. Anyone know the answer? Thanks!

w209's take a 5w5 bulb but w208's are supposed to take a 5007. Any pictures?

The O.E.M. sylvanya is hard to get at a local auto parts store. It is halogen and expensive from the dealer.
The connector might have been swapped out in the past to allow easier lamp replacement.
Most push in lamps are readily available in different watt ranges at the local auto parts supply.
The halogen park lamp radiates an almost peach/rose contrast when enhanced by the Xneon headlights. A brilliant display obviously when working properly.

Cheers, Gator

Thanks. I'm off to the store to replace the 5007 and pick up a 5w5.
