New 18-inch wheels from '03 CLK55 AMG will fit all CLKs

I thought some of you might be interested to know that new AMG wheels from the C209 CLK55 will fit on the C208/A208 (current CLK coupe/cabrio), as well as R170 (SLK) and W202/W203 (old/new C-class) chassis.

The new wheels are the a double-spoke (Styling IV) one-piece design similar to the C32/SLK32 wheels but subtly different around the lug bolt holes.

Here are the specs:

front: 7.5x18ET37 with 225/40R18 tires
rear: 8.5x18ET30 with 255/35R18 tires

Finally, 18-inch AMG wheels for the SLK, CLK, and C-class that will be reasonably priced (unlike the 18-inch multipiece Styling III) and fit properly (unlike the 18-inch one-piece Styling I [S55] and 18-inch one-piece Styling II [E55]).

Would be these, I believe.

What I would really like to see though is the 18" AMG Styling III one-piece in the correct offset for CLK. Currently made for the new SL though, like this:

The 18-inch AMG Multipiece Styling III (larger version of the wheels on the A208 CLK55 Cabrio) is available to fit the CLK, but the price is like $700+ per wheel from discount shops.

Unfortunately, you're correct that the 18-inch AMG one-piece Styling IIIs that on the new SL and on the new E-class have the wrong offsets.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but what does the ET37 mean in "front: 7.5x18ET37"?

Brian_R170,
Do you know why brand of tire they are going to stick on W209 CLK 55?

Thanks...

Slightly confused by the info on the URL below...

http://www.mercedes-benz.com/amg/e/extras/clk.htm

Indicates optional 18inch spoked wheels, yet the picture is of the Styling III rim?

Hmmm. Maybe they are planning an 18-inch one-piece styling III wheel. That would be cool. The pic sure does look like 18s. Unfortunately, the CLK stuff listed under technical accessories is still for the 208 body.

Whoah! You're right. There will be a factory option for one-piece Styling III wheels for the C209 CLK coupe, and the sizes shown will also fit the C208/A208. If you have the Acrobat reader installed, check out the German price list at

SSR Integrals is a better choice...though i do understand that its not made by MB but neither are AMG rims.
the SSR integrals are stronger, lighter and have a wider at 18x8 and 18x9.
i am in the midst of making customized Mercedes star center caps for it, then it'll look authentic.

take care.

Sorry, I don't. The CLK55 goes into production in April, so obviously they'll be in production by then. I expect it'll be 6 to 9 months before distributors in the USA will have them in stock. If you get the M-B part numbers, you'll be able to order them from your dealer before then, but you'll probably pay double doing it that way. Start pressuring Luke (at Tirerack) today, and make sure to let him know about the new 18-inch "203 style" too.

Brian,

You mentioned that there are new 18" wheels for the C-class, CLK and SLK. Just wondering if you knew if they were available as a factory option rather than as an aftermarket mod?

I haven't been able to get an answer. I'm trying to get the Drilled Rotors and the larger Calipers, I think they look cool!
If I find anything out I'll post it!
