coolant temp - visit workshop
hi all,
just when i fixed battery, i discovered this new error message.
unlike prior times of "coolant low" - this time it said "visit workshop."
i drove by my indy (for basic stuff) and he said engine fan NOT going on, but that he couldn't diagnose issue so i just dropped it off at another indy.
can anyone suggest what the range of possibilities might be, ie. motor, chip, thermostat, etc.. this clk55 has been ROCK SOLID for the past several years so i'm not complaining at all...just curious what this could be and what the damage might be. thx.

Not running is much better than running. Besides, I'm pretty sure you're way out of the affected range. Which is very very good. It could be wiring, the motor, the temperature sensor, the ECU, or it could just be shut the car down, disconnect the battery again for 5 minutes, reconnect, and it works.
